NUMBER9 is a unique business in that it is an upper-tier salon run by a master stylist noted equally for his hair artistry as he is for his full sleeve tattoos. The salon was in need of an identity and print package that combined these two seemingly disparate aesthetics while building a brand that stands for quality with a unique edge.
The NUMBER9 identity revolves largely around an antique swirl engraving element and strong, classic typography. Combining these elements with a natural urban twist created a color palette and look that has expanded from print to the design of the salon's new location.
