The Dirt
The Kids of Widney High is a musical act composed of students from a special education high school in Los Angeles backed by a band composed of teachers and professional musicians. The group has gained an almost cult following through their incredible live show, and has opened for acts such as the Melvins and Mr. Bungle. Among their fans are such notable musicians as Smokey Robinson, Jackson Browne, Marilyn Manson and Adam Horovitz. They also appeared in the movie The Ringer with Johnny Knoxville.
In addition to designing the group's logo, last 2 album covers and record label logo, we built kidsofwidneyhigh.com. The site features a unique design that puts all the critical features - music, video, images, merchandise and tour dates - at the visitor's fingertips. The CSS design utilizes Wordpress to give the Kids control over the site, and uses the YouTube and Flickr APIs to pull in external media content.
