The Kids of Widney High
An accessible, media-rich site for one of LA's most beloved musical outfits.
The Kids of Widney High are a group of students from Widney High School, a special ed. high school in Los Angeles, who write and perform original songs. The goal with this site was to produce something that put all the Kids' various media at the user's fingertips. We achieved that by hooking in to the data where it lives (YouTube, Flickr, etc.) and serving it up. The site is fully integrated into a blogging platform for easy maintenance, and it renders nicely in a screen reader – an important consideration for this kind of project.
